Mni Giizhik Theatre Ensemble is currently touring Marcie Rendon’s Say Their Names, a play about the ongoing MMIW/MMIR epidemic. This 50 minute reading explores the historical and contemporary themes that lead to one of Indian country’s most pressing crises. Say Their Names, featuring direction by Sequoia Hauck and performances by Adrienne Zimiga-January and Sara Pillatzki-Warzeha, has been performed in NYC, at the Guthrie Theatre, the Buffalo Show at Bryant Lake Bowl, and at White Earth Nation, as well as filmed for presentation’s in North Dakota. Mni Giizhik Theatre Ensemble is available to book for consultation with your organization. We’ve worked collaboratively with the Guthrie Theatre, History Theatre, Minnesota College of Art and Design, and others to ensure accurate and appropriate engagement with Native theatre productions and people. Our goal is to make all theatre spaces in Minnesota accessible and welcoming to Indigenous people.
